This virtual field trip helps a grades 9–12 class understand the Battle of Bunker Hill as geography, high ground, ammunition limits, and military cost—not just a monument name. Students follow the Charlestown fight and its aftermath and practice explaining why a British win still signaled a long war.

Classes move from Copp’s Hill Burying Ground to the Bunker Hill Monument and Prescott statue, City Square and the burning of Charlestown, the waterfront, Monument Square, the Bunker Hill Museum, Warren Tavern, and Dorchester Heights. High ground, artillery, civilian cost, leadership loss, and later siege strategy stay concrete on the map.

Built for grades 9–12. Strong fit for a Siege of Boston lesson or any Revolution unit that needs strategy and place.

At each stop, students explore real places on the map, view historical images, listen to the stop audio, follow along with the transcript if they need support, and discuss cost, geography, and military choices. Plan roughly 18–27 minutes with discussion, including exploration pauses—or stretch longer if you linger on maps and galleries.
