This virtual field trip helps a grades 9–12 class understand Saratoga as geography, campaign pressure, breakthrough, surrender, and alliance—not only a “turning point” label. Students follow why a major American victory here helped open the door to French entry into the Revolutionary War.

Six stops move from the Saratoga Battlefield Overlook and Neilson House through Bemis Heights, the Boot Monument, the Great Redoubt, and the Saratoga Surrender Site. Defensive terrain, leadership conflict, the Breymann Redoubt story, British retreat, and surrender consequences stay concrete.

Built for grades 9–12. Strong fit for high-school U.S. History, APUSH review, and Revolutionary War turning-points lessons.

At each stop, students explore real places on the map, view supporting media, listen to the stop audio, follow along with the transcript if they need support, and discuss cause and effect. Narration runs about 16–17 minutes; plan roughly 35–45 minutes with classroom pauses and discussion.
